Auto/manual power factor improvement plants monitor reactive power and help improve the power factor of electrical systems. Assemblies can include capacitors, HRC fuses, MCBs, MCCBs and heavy-duty contactors for switching and protection.
According to load variation, the panel switches capacitor banks on or off to achieve the configured power-factor target. Series reactors can be specified to address harmonic conditions. Capacitor sizing, protection and harmonic assessment are selected for the installation.
